We are excited to share a new door for ministry that has opened for us!

June was busy! We finished up studying Finances God's way with the Purulah group! And started a new group in Tactic! A good size croud is coming out on Tuesday nights to understand what God says about finances! Walter was invited to officiate at his brother and his wife's vow renewal for their 30th anniversary. Before Jesus went back to heaven, He left us with clear instructions. He didn't say go and make followers, or go and fill up church buildings. He said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20, ESV). Make disciples. Not attendees. Not a number on a spreadsheet.

It was a privilege to spend some time encouraging these couples and reminding them that God cares about their marriages and their families.

Our four different classes have been going really well!

Many of these students leave their homes in Peña del Ángel at 4 a.m., traveling by motorcycle or in the back of a 4x4 pickup truck for several hours just to get to class.

We are so encouraged because a group of pastors who graduated from the Global Action class in Purulhá approached us about having another class. They want to learn about finances and what the Bible has to say about them. Walter got busy studying, as he has never given classes about finances, and let me just say, what a great initiative on behalf of the pastors! Repurposing a room. An open door for growing to know God more!

Walter joined a group of pastors in Purulhá studying a book about discipleship, which, after all, is walking and learning together. Our horizons are growing as we join with pastors from many different denominations, all working to grow God's kingdom.

Sometimes ministry looks a lot like ordinary life.

God isn't limited by our beginnings or where we live. He is able to open doors we could never have imagined.

We said goodbye to our latest interns and prayed for them at church before they left. Having them here in our home definitely meant never having a quiet moment. From watching them film TikToks and do stretching exercises in the yard, to talking about God and what He wants to do in their lives, studying Spanish, and having game nights, life was never boring. We also got a visit from our two interns from 2023! It's so special to see them again and to see how God has been growin

So this is the story of us stepping out onto the water when we thought His plan was to take us by boat.
