Stepping out on the Water

One of the things we are absolutely certain of is that God is faithful. In the middle of our own uncertainty, He knows what He is doing. Sometimes we think we know what our lives are going to look like, and then God asks us to take a step of faith out onto the water, something that looks unstable, uncertain, and dangerous. But walking with Him is not about how things look to our human eyes. He sees beyond what we can see.

And I'm not even going to say it's about being brave, because I don't think we are particularly brave people. It's more about knowing that if He calls, we either go on without Him on our own, or we keep clinging to Him even though we aren't brave, and follow where He says, trusting that He knows better and that where He leads, He will also provide.

So this is the story of us stepping out onto the water when we thought His plan was to take us by boat. Our desire is not that you would look at us and be inspired, but that you would see Him and be awed. He uses the broken, forgotten, tired, and shunned for His glory. He leads one day, one step, one act of obedience at a time. He has not forgotten us, and He won't forget you. Step out on the water with us, and let's see where He leads!
