Statement of Faith
We are a non denominational ministry committed to teaching students how to read and interpret the Bible for themselves. On topics where faithful Christians disagree, we present a range of major denominational perspectives along with the biblical reasoning behind them, encouraging each person to seek understanding and conviction under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
1
The Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the infallible, all-sufficient, and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:21)
2
The One True God
There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
3
The Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins as the only sufficient substitutionary atonement, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day according to the Scriptures. He is exalted at the right hand of the Father and will return again in power and glory to receive His church and to judge the living and the dead. (John 1:1–3; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Acts 1:11)
4
The Fall of Man
All people are separated from God through sin and fall short of His glory. Humanity is in need of salvation and new life through Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:10, 23)
5
Salvation
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, not by human effort, but as a gift from God. Those who are saved are made new creations in Christ through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5–7)
6
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and dwells in all believers. He empowers believers for witness, produces spiritual fruit, and distributes gifts for the building up of the Church. (John 16:8; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7)
7
The Christian Life
Those who are in Christ are called to follow Him as disciples. This includes obedience to His Word, growth in spiritual maturity, and a life marked by the fruit of the Spirit. Believers are called to servanthood, evangelism, and surrender to the authority of Scripture in all areas of life.
8
Baptism
All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are commanded in Scripture to be baptized in water as an outward expression of inward faith. (Matthew 28:19)
9
Future Things
There will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will enter eternal life with God, while those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from Him. (John 5:29; Revelation 20:12–15)
10
The Church and Unity
All believers are united in Christ and baptized by one Spirit into one body. The Church is called to live in unity, love, and mutual edification as it advances the Gospel in the world. (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Romans 12:5)
11
Marriage and Human Identity
We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, established by God. Sexual intimacy is designed by God to be expressed within this covenant. We believe humanity is created by God as male and female, and that every person is made in His image, deserving of dignity, love, and care. We seek to walk with all people toward wholeness found in Christ.
