What is ministry?
Is it consoling the brokenhearted? We were invited to two funerals this month.
Is it sitting in a traffic jam for two hours… in our tiny town!?

Is it celebrating a quinceañera? We were invited to be her padrinos, her birthday godparents.

Is it being blessed and prayed over by our pastoral care couple?

Is it being visited by friends from far away?

Is it praying over a friend who was injured in a work accident?

Is it praying over a new baby, welcomed home for the very first time?

Is it opening our home to pastors and leaders, sharing a meal and giving them a place to learn more about God?
What is ministry?
Maybe it is all of the above.
Ministry doesn't always look like standing in front of a crowd or preaching a sermon. Sometimes it looks like sitting beside someone in their grief, celebrating with a family, sitting in traffic, welcoming friends into your home, or simply stopping to pray with someone who needs it.
Sometimes ministry looks a lot like ordinary life.
And maybe that's the point. God wants to use us, and He wants to use you, in the ordinary and messy parts of life. Let's live on mission!
