Look at all the beautiful faces of the people we got to spend time with this month! What do they mean to us?
Elvin and his wife have a new baby boy! Elvin has been a part of our lives since he was a boy. He was one of our students at school, then he grew up, studied nursing, worked at Impact with us in the clinic, started his own business, got married, and is now a father of two! Being invited to pick up his wife at the hospital and drive her home is just one of the many life events we have gotten to share with them.
Josee is my beautiful Bible-reading buddy. We've read through the Bible several times together over the years, and I can tell you, there are few things that knit hearts together like reading God's Word together. She is my sister in Christ and such a blessing to know.
Eri started working in our yard many years ago when he and his two kids were going through a rough patch. This isn't the first time we've eaten together, but getting to meet the new woman in their lives and see them growing and healing is such a joy.
Cristina has walked through some dark times in her life, but she has allowed the love of God to come in and bring healing in such a beautiful and inspiring way. Getting to celebrate her son Ian's birthday and pray over him is a privilege and a joy.
And how do we explain the love we feel for a student who, from the day we met him, has sung his heart out to God? He's grown now, with a family of his own. Oscar and Nancy are some pretty special people.
And talking about special people, there's no one quite like my sister-in-law, Amy! Having family close by is such a gift, and the time together always feels too short.
And Pat, you've believed in us, prayed for us, and inspired us by your life.
Friends, and more friends- need I say more?
There are so many more. How do we mention them all?
It's the everyday moments, the special occasions, and everything in between.
