A story from Purulhá:
Updated: Aug 19
Pastor Oscar shared with us how, a while back, his daughter was sick, and he was asking God to heal her. Meanwhile, people kept coming to him asking for prayer because they were sick, and they got better. He didn't understand it. His situation felt urgent; his daughter was sick, and yet God kept healing everyone else!
Then, while reading his Bible, he came across the story of Jairus, whose daughter was dying. While Jesus was on His way to heal her, the woman with the flow of blood stopped Him, and He healed her too. Pastor Oscar understood then that God works in His own timing, not ours. Sometimes we don't know what God is doing, or why He doesn't answer when we feel our situation demands immediate action. God keeps doing what He is doing, on His own timeframe.
I want to encourage you, wherever you are in your own waiting, to trust Him even when things look impossible or like He is taking too long. He is faithful. He has not forgotten you. You can trust Him.

Pouring rain didn't stop us from driving out to Purulhá for the pastors' training group. We are working through six courses provided by Global Action.
Walter had the chance to share with the Impact Ministries teachers this month.

It's always beautiful when friends stop by!
